Mekabu Seaweed Division [Oharahama Factory]
Mekabu has recently been drawing real attention as a “vegetable from the sea” especially among the more health conscious. It is rich in water-soluble dietary fiber, fucoidan and minerals, which are also believed to be effective in maintaining beauty.
We process this amazing food at a factory established in 2017 that sits on a hill near the fishing port of Oharahama. With buildings approx. 1,650 m2 in size on a roughly 6,600 m2 property, this facility is equipped with cutting-edge devices that produce 3 to 4 tonnes of mekabu products every day, making the best use of its high production capacity.
Oyster Division [Kyubunhama Factory]
Oshika Peninsula’s oysters are well known for their lustrous appearance and firm texture, cultivated in an ideal environment where nutrients from the sea and the forest combine. Their rich and creamy flavor definitely reminds us why they are known as the “milk of the ocean.”
We process this delicious food in a factory adjacent to the fishing port of Kyubunhama, overlooking the aquaculture farm. This is the perfect location for receiving the catch just after landing, which allows us to manufacture the freshest products possible, under our strict hygiene and temperature management.
HACCP Certification
In the pursuit of producing even safer and more reliable products, our factories have acquired the HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) certification, an international standard for food safety management. Based on these standards, we identify all potential risks that could compromise safety, and record detailed plans for improvements to management standards and monitoring methods. If any issue arises with products, the accumulated data helps us trace the cause by following an extensive, interlinked chart. As we are looking into expanding into overseas markets in the future, we continue to make efforts to become a company that can earn trust from the world with this exemplary certification.
